Roman artefacts and the Silchester Project

Adopt an Object has a new page

The Friends of Reading Museum are pleased to announce that the Adopt an Object scheme run by Reading Museum has now successfully transferred to the FoRM website:

By adopting an Object, you can benefit by enjoying seeing your name displayed alongside your chosen object for twelve months, or gifting the same to a relative or friend. A designed certificate is also provided together with one year's membership of FoRM. By adopting an object, you are helping to fund more!

Best wishes from the AAO Coordinator,  Kevin Boyle

Silent Auction of Sidney Gold Collection

The FoRM coffee morning on the 2nd December will include a Silent Auction of some of the artworks bequeathed to Reading Museum by the late Sidney Gold.

Sidney was a long term FoRM member and we are very grateful that we benefitted financially in his will. He also  donated the artworks he had collected over the years - many of which are directly relevant to Reading - to the Museum. They have retained some of these for their collection but are seeking to dispose of the rest and have asked that we help them. To this end we will be holding an auction of them in the Soane Space at our Christmas social.
